Here’s what I envision for our Community Garden and I invite you to share your ideas, as well. Please add your friends and neighbors that live in Toquerville. 
My husband and I have about 2 acres of land and plenty of irrigation water that we would like to offer up for this project. It’s located at 558 S Westfield Rd. Drive up the paved private road (by the goats) until you reach the top, then turn left and turn left again, onto the dirt road. Follow the dirt road until it curves right and you’ll see the garden plot to the right.
We envision adding on to our garden, each year, until we have as much produce of all kinds as our community can utilize. We would like to have fruit and nut trees of all kinds, veggies of all kinds, corn rows, melons, squashes, peanuts, etc. Enough for all of our citizens to enjoy who are willing to pitch in a bit of time or resources.
We are very hopeful that this will not only help our community save a lot of money and become more self sufficient, but even provide means for us to have food storage and strengthen relationships and build friendships in our little community. We believe this will provide people a positive outlet and a chance to serve, together.
Once we have produce available, I would like to have classes on canning, pie making, salsa classes, recipe exchanges, etc....
What we will need to make this vision come to life:
We will need many people to come together to make this a reality. People willing to volunteer their time, expertise, monetary donations as they can afford, and resources. We appreciate all efforts to help but use your own discernment for you and your children. Don't perform any activity or task that you don’t feel capable of. Participate at your own risk.
